AI Home Video Research Study - Seattle

About the study.
Join a short, in-home research project designed to understand everyday activities in real homes and earn $600 . Over a 2-day window , youll record 610 hours of normal routines (think: cooking, tidying, watching TV, caring for pets). A moderator will drop off and pick up a small camera and audio recorder at your home in Seattle . Your videos are for research and training only never shared publicly.

What youll do.
After a quick check-in, youll use our small 360° camera and audio recorder to capture everyday moments at a pace that feels natural. Examples: planning or cooking a meal, eating together, washing dishes, laundry, walking between rooms, opening cabinets/appliances, reading, TV/streaming, gaming, hobbies, light exercise, family time, pet care, receiving packages, locking doors or windows.
Youll also create a few short environment clips by placing the camera in different spots around a room (e.g., kitchen/living room) for 510 seconds each, trying different positions/heights throughout the day.

Comfort & privacy.
Your comfort is our priority. You decide when and where to record in your home, and you can pause or skip anything that feels uncomfortable. Please avoid capturing sensitive information (computer screens with personal or work data, ID/bank documents, etc.). All household members will review a simple consent form . If you change your mind, you can stop at any time.

Compensation.
Youll receive $600 per household as a thank-you for completing the study:

• $100 after equipment pickup + minimum validation (6+ hrs, journal, brief review) typically 23 business days

• $500 after quality confirmation typically 13 weeks (digital delivery)
  Well confirm the details during scheduling and check-in.

Schedule & location.
Sessions are scheduled in advance. You must live within ~1 hour of downtown Seattle  so our moderators can reliably visit your home for drop-off and pickup. Exact timing will be arranged after your application is approved.

Eligibility.

• 18+ and live in the Seattle area (within ~1 hour of downtown)

• Home type: apartments (not studios), townhomes , single-family single-story , or single-family multi-story (studios are not eligible)

• Able to complete 610 hours of recording within 2 days

• Consent from all household members (forms provided)

• Comfortable following simple device setup instructions
