Job Opportunity: Full-Time Transplant Hepatologist

Our organization is actively looking for a dedicated Transplant Hepatologist to become part of our esteemed Transplant Institute. The preferred candidate will hold board certification or be board eligible in both Transplant Hepatology and Gastroenterology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage outpatient clinics focusing on general hepatology, as well as pre- and post-transplant patients.
  • Conduct outpatient endoscopy procedures.
  • Provide inpatient services on a rotation of 1 in 4-5 weeks.
  • Participate in shared night and weekend on-call duties with the GI team, totaling approximately 5-6 weeks annually.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team of Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Registered Nurses for both inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Engage in teaching activities for students, residents, and fellows.
  • Encourage involvement in clinical or health services research, with an average of 3 half-days per week allocated for this purpose.

Our liver transplant program ranks among the largest in California, performing an impressive number of transplants each year. We also operate satellite clinics located in Palm Springs, Murrieta, and a nearby Riverside county hospital.

As the sole tertiary/quaternary program in the Inland Empire, we serve a combined population of over 4 million residents in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Both the Transplant Institute clinic and the Medical Center hospital feature cutting-edge facilities. The region offers a wealth of recreational activities, excellent educational institutions, and a lower cost of living compared to many other areas in California.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting base salary for this position ranges from $340,000 to $400,000, adjusted according to years of experience and faculty rank. This figure does not encompass variable compensation or additional productivity incentives and is subject to departmental compensation policies. Further details regarding compensation will be discussed during the recruitment process.
