Goodwill HealthCare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Physician Assistant to join our vibrant Primary Care team in Tampa, Florida. This role is pivotal in providing patient-centered healthcare services through diagnosing, treating, and promoting health practices among our patients. Work Environment

This position will require you to work onsite at our hospital facility in Tampa, Florida, and involves a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant at Goodwill HealthCare, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough physical examinations and reviewing patients’ medical histories to assess their health status.
• Ordering, conducting, and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood tests and X-rays to aid in accurate diagnosis.
• Diagnosing a wide spectrum of health issues and developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Prescribing medications and ensuring proper management of chronic and infectious diseases.
• Documenting patient care effectively, maintaining detailed health records and treatment schedules.
• Engaging with patients to discuss their health conditions, treatment options, and prescribed medications.
• Educating patients and their families about disease prevention and management, contributing to improved health outcomes.
• Promoting good health practices in the community to foster overall wellness.
• Participating in ongoing professional development and contributing to research initiatives within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve adult patients within our primary care practice. You will play a crucial role in managing a diverse patient population, emphasizing preventive care and chronic disease management. Your expertise will directly influence patient outcomes, as you engage with them to improve their health literacy and encourage adherence to treatment plans.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• A valid Florida State Physician Assistant license and PA-C certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Expert knowledge in primary care, acute care, and chronic disease management.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
• Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to patient education.
• Strong ethical standards and a collaborative mindset.
• The ability to remain calm and patient-focused under pressure.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with backgrounds in specialties such as internal medicine, cardiology, or urgent care will be given preference. Bilingual candidates who can communicate effectively with diverse populations are also encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to USD 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
