Job Title Program Coordinator CMI & Connect Centers Department Workforce Development (WFD) Reports to CMI & Connect Centers Manager FLSA Status Exempt Mission Support Goodwill Houston (GWH) is leading change, connecting people, and improving the potential for the future of work. Position Summary Supports operating procedures, protocols, and controls of functional activities, and services delivered throughout the GWH Community, CMI five‑sector strategy, and GWH Connect Centers. Supervises the support staff for CMI and the Connect Centers, prepares necessary reports, and coordinates with management to support GWH mandates. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assure compliance of WFD with all regulatory and accreditation standards. Work with management to provide maximum assistance to individuals and families in the eight counties supporting GWH’s infrastructure (Austin, Brazoria, Ft. Bend, Galveston, Harris, Montgomery, Walker, and Washington). Collaborate closely with Workforce Development (WFD) to create a positive, effective, and consistent culture focused on training, education, employment, and wrap‑around services. Track all case‑management activities in multiple databases to maintain GWH and funder guidelines. Coordinate day‑to‑day activities with management to achieve optimal outcomes for persons served, employment placements, training, and mission integration while maximizing revenue opportunities. Manage team member performance by providing guidance, identifying development needs, and fostering relationships among GWH team members and partners to ensure success. Establish and maintain relationships with existing faith‑based and community‑based partners, school districts, businesses, government agencies, and other sectors that provide work‑training opportunities, including GWH. Coordinate with the Business Services Liaison to engage employers across in‑demand industries for experience and placement opportunities for program participants. Recommend appropriate success strategies to workforce members, including caseload support. Assist with intake, testing, and program assessments for new participants when needed. Ensure budgets, fiscal compliance, and program administration are managed appropriately with assistance from accounting and finance. Conduct routine reconciliations of supportive services for GWH. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date data entry for billing and auditing purposes. Provide timely required reporting and documentation for state and local regulatory compliance. Oversee real‑time data entry, electronic and hard copy confidential files, and input necessary information into CaseWorthy, including progress reports, case notes, and completion and retention documentation. Support and coordinate leadership in planning and executing monthly events (job fairs, graduations, CMI pop‑ups, etc.). Regularly evaluate and recommend support‑service referrals for training, education, curricula, and materials for work readiness programs that reflect community and job opportunity needs. Maintain adequate materials, supplies, and equipment for work readiness and job placement activities. Travel to multiple locations as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Additional Responsibilities Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and a friendly, cooperative attitude. Adhere to all GWH policies & procedures, loss prevention & safety regulations, and guiding principles. Maintain a high level of confidentiality. Work safely, maintain good housekeeping, and keep aisles and pathways free of clutter. Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum of two years of workforce development, career services, and/or human services experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of individual employment plans, case management, and career service activities. Ability to supervise multiple programs and the team members within those programs. Analytical skills: identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and develop effective approaches. Planning and evaluation skills for achieving goals and work plans. Reliable transportation required. Key Performance Indicators Meet or exceed all portfolio program outputs, outcomes, and goals for the year. Maintain data utilization and accuracy at 90% or higher through regular audits of CaseWorthy reporting. Ensure onsite pop‑up partners report monthly on engagements at Goodwill Houston retail locations. Ensure all data reports, funding applications, and administrative documents are reviewed prior to Senior Director approval.
