Job Details MRI | Beavercreek | Full-time | First Shift Responsibilities & Requirements The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI exams in a timely manner while maintaining a strong understanding of MRI safety protocols, including those related to research workflows. They interact positively with multiple patient populations and serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. Flexibility is essential, as the position may require on-call availability and holiday coverage. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education Graduate from ARRT accredited MRI educational program OR Graduate from ARMRIT accredited MRI education program Required Licenses ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT at hire (Preferred) OR ARRT in one of these Radiography (R)/Nuclear Medicine (N)/Radiation Therapy (T)/ Sonography (S) required and get ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT within 24 months of hire date Current BLS required Required Skills Proficient in operating an MRI scanner and adjusting imaging parameters Well-versed and compliant in MRI safety and understands research workflow for MRI safety requirements Patient positioning & comfort while ensuring patient safety Emergency response Attention to detail Critical thinking and problem-solving Time management Empathy and patient care The ability to work independently and work well with team members. Capable of performing timely, quality MRI exams Essential Functions Perform MRI Examinations Ensure Patient Safety and Comfort Administration of Contrast Media Maintain MRI Equipment and Safety Standards Collaboration with multi-disciplinary health care team Document and Manage Patient Information Research of Implantable Devices for MRI Compatibility Adhere to Compliance and Regulatory Standards Assist with Workflow and Operational Efficiency Preferred Qualifications shift is Thursday-Saturday 7a-730p Holiday rotation included call rotation as needed by the department (to cover PTO or staffing gaps, not a regular rotation currently) will train the right candidate Overview Kettering Health is a not-for-profit system of 14 medical centers and more than 120 outpatient facilities serving southwest Ohio.
