Mechanical Designer

Responsibilities Perform mechanical designs and calculations under the direct supervision of an Engineer or Team Lead. Assist in the preparation of mechanical designs for power and low‑voltage products. Interact regularly with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Industrial Engineering staff. Present technical information during design meetings or reviews. Create and update 2D prints and 3D models for piece parts and components. Create and update 3D layouts of top‑level and sub‑level assemblies. Prepare Bills of Materials and Change Notices to release components and assemblies. Support the creation of technical manuals for operation and maintenance of related products. Self‑check work to ensure accuracy to established drawing and design specifications and standards. Provide technical assistance for prototype and pilot builds along with production support as needed. Work with suppliers to integrate various components into higher‑level system designs. Support service, aftermarket, and installation teams as needed. Perform other related duties as required and assigned. Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of product design experience. Proficient in 2D/3D CAD design software (Inventor, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo). Experience in sheet metal or heavy fabrication design. Experience in mechanical design and drafting. Experience with Bill of Material creation and Change Notice processes. Preferred: 5 years of product design experience. Preferred: Experience in large 3D assemblies. Preferred: Experience in casting, machining, roto‑molded components, or fiber‑reinforced plastic components. Preferred: Experience in electrical components or equipment. Travel 5‑25% travel required. Work Schedule & Location Hours: 7AM – 5PM, Monday‑Friday.
