Job Opportunity: Physician - Hospitalist - OB in San Jose, CA

Join a leading maternal-fetal medicine led hospitalist program in the heart of Silicon Valley! A premier healthcare facility in San Jose, California, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB-GYN physician to be part of a supportive and dynamic OB Hospitalist team. Enjoy a high-acuity environment with exceptional neonatal and anesthesia support, emphasizing maternal-fetal care excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 24-hour in-house OB Hospitalist coverage within a Maternal-Fetal Medicine led practice.
• Manage OB triage for unassigned patients and private physician requests.
• Respond to and manage MFM patient transports (approximately 5 6 per month).
• Assist in cesarean sections (average of 1 2 cases).
• Conduct inpatient rounding, including postpartum patients.
• Participate in shared rounding of antepartum patients alongside specialists.
• Perform gynecologic emergency department evaluations for unassigned patients.
• Coordinate care in a high-acuity obstetric setting supported by:
• Level III NICU
• 24-hour dedicated Anesthesiology coverage for Labor & Delivery
• 24-hour Neonatology coverage
• 24-hour Pediatric Hospitalist coverage
• Collaborate with a separate on-call GYN surgical service for surgical management.
• Provide comprehensive obstetric hospitalist care in a high-volume, multidisciplinary hospital environment.

Qualifications:

• Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in OB/GYN - REQUIRED
• Active California license (or in process) - REQUIRED
• Clean malpractice and license history - HIGHLY PREFERRED
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) - REQUIRED
• Interest in full-time or part-time employment - REQUIRED
• No visa support required - REQUIRED
• DEA (must be obtained prior to start) - REQUIRED

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible OB-GYN qualification.
• Active California medical license.
