In this contract opportunity, you will play a key role in supporting students with diverse learning needs in a vibrant school community near Santa Clara, CA. Your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will foster academic growth and encourage personal development for every student you serve.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations in special education
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to collaborate with general education staff, administrators, and families
• Positive, solution-oriented mindset and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction to students with mild to moderate and/or moderate to severe disabilities
• Develop, update, and monitor IEPs, setting measurable goals for student progress
• Assess student strengths and challenges using various tools and strategies
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure students’ academic and social-emotional needs are met
• Maintain regular communication with families to discuss student achievements and strategies
• Track progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date records according to school policies
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that celebrates student diversity
