Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Driver Entry Control in Columbus, MS , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location. Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor and contractor credentials, maintaining entry records, and communicating applicable site requirements. Observe incoming and outgoing vehicle, employee, visitor, and contractor traffic at assigned access points; report unusual activity and follow established escalation procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
