What We Offer:
- Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits
- Multiple Medical Plans to fit your needs and budget

- 40 hours of paid Education/Training annually
- Paid Licensure Reimbursement
- Meaningful work making a lasting difference in the lives of individuals in recovery
What You'll Do:
As a Nurse (RN), you will provide direct nursing care and administer prescribed detoxification protocols to clients in our Detox department. Working as part of SCADD's multidisciplinary team and reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will serve as a primary nurse for individual clients — coordinating their care, responding to their needs, and helping guide them toward health and recovery.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform initial nursing assessments and document ongoing client assessments in response to treatment
- Perform client admissions
- Develop, implement, record, and evaluate nursing care plans according to the age and specific needs of each client
- Participate in and supervise nursing care, providing direct physical care measures as needed
- Act as a primary nurse, working with individual clients and coordinating their treatment
- Execute the medical regimen of care as prescribed by the physician
- Educate clients and families toward an understanding of health, illness, and plans for post-discharge care
- Respond to medical and psychiatric emergency needs of clients
- Participate in the orientation of new employees and the transfer of knowledge necessary for the performance of duties
What You'll Need:
- Associate degree in nursing or a related health care field; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current State of Connecticut Department of Public Health Registered Nurse License required
- CPR Certification required
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, external health care providers, clients, and families
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and group settings
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize critical tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to SCADD's values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice
