Hospital CustodianUW Medical Center – Northwest - Environmental Services has multiple employment opportunities for Day, Evening, and Night Hospital Custodians.WORK SCHEDULES100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day Shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm - Rotating every other weekend100% FTE (40 hours per week), Evening Shift, 3:00pm - 11:30pm - Rotating every other weekend100% FTE (40 hours per week) Night Shift, 6:00pm-2:30am - Rotating every other weekendPOSITION HIGHLIGHTSThe Custodian performs daily cleaning of all patient and non-patient areas, handles waste, and maintains a sanitary, orderly, and attractive environment.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms general facility cleaning and maintenance of both patient rooms and non-patient areasMakes beds and performs check-out cleaningCleans and disinfects restrooms and fixturesDust mops, wet mops, and vacuums floors, dusts and spot cleans/disinfects furniture and horizontal surfacesEmpties wastebaskets and trash containers, removes trash and disinfects wastebasketsConsistently follows hospital and departmental safety procedures; reads and follows all instructions regarding use and preparation of chemicalsAssists in cleaning of emergency spills as directed by NSO or supervisorREQUIREMENTSPhysical ability to do required workABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER – NORTHWESTUW Medicine includes Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center – Montlake, UW Medical Center – Northwest, Valley Medical Center, UW Neighborhood Clinics, UW Physicians, UW School of Medicine, and Airlift Northwest.UW Medicine – Northwest is a full-service, non-profit community hospital offering comprehensive medical, surgical, and therapeutic services.
