After School Science Instructor

Job Title After School Science Enrichment Instructor (Part-Time) Nuts About Science is looking for a certified teacher to teach our hands-on science enrichment classes 3-4 days per week at various elementary schools in Northville and Livonia, MI. This is ideal for teachers who do not want a full-time schedule but still want to teach in a part-time setting. Overview The instructor will teach our hands-on science program to elementary students, interacting with school staff, parents, and children while representing Nuts About Science professionally. Hours and Compensation Hours: 3:00–5:30 pm, 3–4 days a week. Employment type: Independent Contractor (own LLC may be required). Pay: $65 per class taught. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Science Strong communication and presentation skills Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation Enthusiastic, energetic, child-friendly, self-motivated, dependable and flexible Essential Job Functions Deliver and facilitate hands-on science programs to elementary-aged children in a safe and engaging manner in Northville, Livonia and surrounding areas Attend training sessions and review program dialogue prior to delivery Instructor Requirements Ability to transport a 20–30 pound supply cart in and out of your vehicle Effective communication with diverse individuals; calmly handle routine and emergency situations Operate standard office/classroom equipment (projector, computer, cell phone, copier, scientific equipment, etc.) Willingness to become an Independent Contractor and form an LLC Application Interested candidates should email their resume with references. #J-18808-Ljbffr Nuts About Science
