Vice President, Finance

Job Description: Title: Vice President, Finance Reports To: Deputy Chief Financial Officer Location: New York Position Type: Full-Time News Corp is a global, diversified media and information services company focused on creating and distributing authoritative and engaging content to consumers throughout the world. Key Responsibilities Finance Leadership – Direct Finance for Global Technology: Act as the primary financial authority for the Global Technology organization, coordinate with the Global CTO and senior tech leaders to develop strategic plans, maximize technology spending efficiency, and align financial goals with corporate objectives. Finance Leadership – Headquarters and Other Segment: Serve as the lead financial authority for News Corp HQ and the other segment, delivering precise financial analysis, facilitating strategic financial planning, and providing transparent reporting to Company EVPs and senior management. Finance Simplification & Digital Fluency: Establish scalable, automated cost‑allocation and chargeback frameworks, modernize financial systems and workflows, and create interactive, self‑service reporting platforms to enhance visibility of global costs and operational data. Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA, CPA, CMA, or CIMA qualification is highly preferred. Experience: 8–10+ years of finance experience, with at least 3–5 years in an FP&A or mini CFO/finance business partner role within a multinational organization. Global Entity Expertise: Proven experience managing financials across multiple international legal entities. Chargeback Models: Demonstrated experience designing and executing complex corporate chargeback, cost‑allocation, or transfer‑pricing models. Digital Fluency: Strong track record of driving finance automation, implementing FP&A software, and utilizing BI tools. Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to partner with, influence, and challenge C‑suite and EVP‑level executives. Systems Literacy: Advanced proficiency in financial consolidation tools (e.g., OneStream, Hyperion), ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and advanced Excel. Strategic Thinker & Communicator: Ability to synthesize complex financial and operational information into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership. Digital & Transformation Mindset: Passion for leveraging technology to scale operations and eliminate manual processes. Commercial & Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of business drivers, financial planning, contract management, vendor negotiations, and investment decision‑making. Influence & Executive Presence: Skilled at building alignment across senior stakeholders and navigating complex organizational dynamics. Base Pay Range $280,000 – $340,000 + Bonus.
