Overview
Registered Nurse (OB/GYN) with OB/L&D experience needed for a travel assignment in a high-volume obstetric care setting. Location: Borger, TX. Start date: 09/08/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,118–$2,153 per week. Shift: 7:00 pm–7:00 am (3x12-night schedule). This assignment focuses on mother and baby care from pre-delivery through postpartum, with cross-coverage for Med/Surg when OB census is low.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for obstetric patients and newborns from pre-delivery through postpartum, including routine postpartum recovery and newborn assessments.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, assist with labor and delivery, manage postpartum care, and support patient and family education.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (physicians, midwives, nurses, and ancillary staff) to ensure safe, evidence-based care and timely documentation.
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in perinatal records; maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Adapt to fluctuating OB census with flexibility to care for Med/Surg patients when OB patients are not available.
- Communicate clearly in high-stress scenarios and participate in on-call or rapid-response activities as required.

Requirements
- Ability to care for obstetric patients and newborns across pre-delivery, delivery, and postpartum phases
- Willingness to float to Med/Surg units when OB census is low
- Comfort providing care in a night-shift, high-volume OB/L&D environment
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient education skills
- Demonstrated clinical judgment and adherence to safety and infection control practices
