Leasing Director

Our client, a high-performing New York City real estate team, is seeking an experienced Head of Rentals to lead and grow its residential rental division.

This is a rare leadership opportunity for a proven NYC real estate professional who enjoys coaching agents, building landlord relationships, driving operational excellence, and growing revenue through both leadership and personal production. You'll inherit a strong foundation, including monthly leads, established systems, CRM automation, and an active rental portfolio generating hundreds of transactions annually.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building teams, improving systems, and creating measurable business growth.

Benefits & Compensation

• Base salary of $65,000-$75,000 , based on experience
• Uncapped performance bonuses with realistic first-year earnings of $90,000-$120,000+

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum two years of leadership experience managing real estate professionals
• Active New York Real Estate License with strong NYC rental market experience
• Proven success recruiting, coaching, and developing real estate agents
• Demonstrated experience managing KPIs, conversion funnels, and business performance metrics
• Strong understanding of NYC rental regulations including the FARE Act, Good Faith Clause, and leasing compliance

Preferred Background & Skills

• Established relationships with NYC landlords, property owners, and management companies
• Track record of winning exclusive rental listings and growing portfolios
• Experience using CRM platforms, Google Workspace, HubSpot, Asana, Slack, or similar technology
• Strong operational mindset with experience building SOPs, training programs, and scalable systems
• Background in coaching, leadership development, or sales training programs such as Tom Ferry, Brian Buffini, Ninja Selling, or similar

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, and hold accountable a growing rental team while expanding the department from six to eight agents
• Manage landlord relationships, identify portfolio expansion opportunities, and add new buildings to increase long-term revenue
• Monitor and improve key performance metrics including signed transactions, lead conversion, recruiting, and department profitability
• Oversee rental operations, training, systems, and CRM workflows to ensure consistent execution and exceptional client service
• Partner with company leadership to implement strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, growth, and overall business performance
