EMS Technical Assistant

Duration: 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension and potential full-time conversion Pay Rate: $26/hour Schedule: Starting around 20 hours/week, ramping to full-time within 1–2 months We are seeking an EMS Technical Assistant to support transmission grid operations through the maintenance, creation, and enhancement of EMS displays. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with operational systems, large datasets, and cross‑functional teams in a utility or energy environment. Responsibilities Maintain, create, and enhance EMS displays used by grid operators Develop high‑level one‑line displays, RAS displays, menu displays, HUD displays, and related operational visualizations Support reliable operation of the transmission grid through accurate and timely display updates Analyze large datasets to determine required updates during database model builds Collaborate with Operators, Planning Engineers, EMS teams, and other departments throughout the display development process Manage multiple display requests simultaneously while meeting project timelines and operational deadlines Required Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional operational and engineering teams Experience analyzing large datasets and identifying required system/display updates Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast‑paced environment Preferred Background Experience with EMS (Energy Management Systems) or utility/grid operations environments Technical or engineering support background preferred Disclaimer All interviews for this role will be conducted on camera with Swipejobs.
