About the Job

We currently have an opening for a Superintendent / Field Leader within our PM/CM group in New York City .

We are seeking an experienced construction professional to oversee day-to-day site operations on a major NYC public realm / streetscape project . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing field activities, coordinating subcontractors and utilities, and ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with agency requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Site Coordination

• Organize, schedule, and oversee daily and weekly activities of subcontractors, vendors, and utility entities

• Coordinate work in active urban environments, including NYC utility companies and agency stakeholders
  
  
• Proactively identify and resolve field issues to maintain schedule and productivity

Record-Keeping & Supervision

• Maintain accurate daily reports, field logs, and site documentation

• Track labor, timekeeping, and cost-related field activities

• Supervise self-performed work and implement efficient construction means and methods

Material & Submittal Management

• Support submittal reviews and track long-lead materials

• Oversee material deliveries and ensure proper inspection, documentation, and storage

• Verify receiving tickets are signed, coded, and properly filed

Reporting & Compliance

• Support jobsite reporting requirements including daily reports, RFIs, change orders, weekly unit reports, two-week look-ahead schedules, and monthly schedule updates

• Review shop drawings and submittals in coordination with project management teams

• Ensure compliance with contract documents, agency standards, and company procedures

Meetings & Quality Control

• Attend and participate in required jobsite and agency meetings

• Maintain quality control and safety standards throughout all phases of construction

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of relevant field experience on urban infrastructure, streetscape, or public works projects

• Experience working on NYC DDC and/or EDC projects strongly preferred
  
  
• Demonstrated experience with NYC utility coordination and work in active public rights-of-way

• Familiarity with NYC agency processes, filings, and construction requirements
