Quality Engineer
Join our dynamic team as a Quality Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring product excellence and customer satisfaction. In this position, you will serve as the primary liaison with our valued customers, fostering robust relationships and reinforcing confidence in our quality processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main representative for the Quality function, engaging directly with customers to address concerns and align on quality expectations.
- Facilitate proactive customer engagement across various levels, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, engineering, operations, and supply chain to uphold product quality and compliance.
- Support production teams to deliver high-quality products consistently, adhering to established standards.
- Lead defect reduction initiatives, ensuring timely resolution and corrective actions.
- Oversee internal non-conformance reports (NCRs) and manage external quality issues, including customer complaints, from identification to resolution.
- Evaluate nonconforming materials, working with diverse teams to diagnose issues and implement effective corrective measures.
- Lead quality problem-solving efforts using Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodologies to ensure sustainable solutions.
- Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new product launches, including activities such as PFMEAs, Control Plans, GR&R, Capability Studies, and First Article Inspections (FAI).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with manufacturing or quality processes.
- Proven experience in leading technical or production teams within a manufacturing or operations setting.
- Quality certifications such as CQE, CMQ, CQA, and ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor training are highly desirable.
- Experience in process improvement, Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and quality systems.
- Proficiency with optical, multi-sensor, and scanning inspection equipment is preferred.
- Experience supporting quality initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites is a plus.
