# Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Ohio Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Variable shift position including days and evenings with 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts. Call coverage required Monday-Friday 9:00 PM - 6:30 AM, and Saturday-Sunday 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 6:30 AM. Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs. Highlights:

• Level 1 Trauma Center with 18-bed Operating Room performing 45-50 surgical procedures daily
• Diverse surgical specialties including General Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Trauma, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal Surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant
• Advanced technology environment utilizing DaVinci Xi Surgical System and EPIC charting system
• 13-week travel assignment with 3 weekend shifts per contract period and one pre-approved time off allowance
• Opportunity to work with adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
• Float opportunities to different units within the organization as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• DaVinci Xi Robot experience required (proficiency rating of 3 or 4)
• Liver Transplant experience required (proficiency rating of 3 or 4)
• Experience in at least one of the following service lines: Neurosurgery OR Orthopedic surgery (proficiency required)
• Scrubbing capability required
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Valid compact or Ohio state RN license in hand at time of submission
• EPIC charting system experience
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required: at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership role

Preferred Experience:

• Ophthalmology (Eyes)
• ENT procedures
• Genitourinary procedures
• Plastics
• Burn care

Important Compliance Information:

• Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date with no exceptions
• Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing
• Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location as soon as possible after booking
• Candidates at extreme distances will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to be completed urgently
• Unresponsive or uncooperative candidates during credentialing are at risk of assignment delays or cancellation
• Former employees must have been away from the facility for 6 months or more to be eligible
• Current employees at any location within the health system are ineligible for travel positions

Additional Details:

• Artificial nails or enhanced nail lacquer prohibited (includes acrylic, gel, shellac, extensions, wraps, and nail jewelry)
• All jewelry and armbands must be removed from upper extremities prior to scrubbing
• Parking permits available with various options and pricing structures
