Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Tenet‑AZ Region is seeking a staff RN for a 12‑hour shift, 36 hours per week, in Tucson, Arizona. This position includes a sign‑on bonus of up to $20,000, dependent on eligibility. Details Specialty: PCU – Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing Shift: 12 hours (36 hours per week) Employment Type: Staff Position Summary Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Core Responsibilities Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Uses a systematic, dynamic approach for assessment, including physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Deficits identified: Problem identification, planning and outcomes, establishing daily goals, formulating a plan of care, transition or discharge planning. Implements nursing care according to the care plan; documents in the patient record. Ensures patient safety, administers medication, provides ordered treatments, and conducts patient/family education. Continuously evaluates patient status and effectiveness of nursing care; modifies care plan as needed. Coordinates actions with patients, families, and healthcare team to manage care from admission to discharge. Delegates, supervises, and prioritizes tasks. Minimum Requirements Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Experience: One (1) year as an RN. Licensure/Certification: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license with ability to become Arizona licensed in 30 days. Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or equivalent. Continuing education requirements as defined within the CARE program. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
