DescriptionOur client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Controller who will own the full P& L for a manufacturing operation while partnering closely with leadership to drive financial performance and operational insight. This Controller role blends hands-on plant accounting with corporate FP& A responsibilities, making it ideal for a finance leader who enjoys both operational detail and strategic analysis.The Controller will serve as a key business partner to operations, helping leadership understand cost drivers, improve margins, and support data-driven decisions across the organization.Key Responsibilities:Financial Leadership & P& L OwnershipOwn and manage the full P& L for the manufacturing operationLead the monthly close process, financial reporting, and variance analysisProvide clear insight into revenue, margins, and cost driversDeliver actionable reporting and KPIs to executive leadershipCost Accounting & Plant FinanceManage and analyze standard costing and cost accounting systemsAnalyze and report Purchase Price Variance (PPV), manufacturing variances, and absorption impactsMaintain and improve inventory valuation, costing structures, and product marginsPartner with operations to evaluate labor efficiency, material usage, and production costsFP& A & Strategic AnalysisLead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelingSupport operational leaders with data-driven decision makingIdentify opportunities for margin improvement and cost optimizationEvaluate capital investments, pricing strategies, and ROI on operational initiativesOperational PartnershipWork closely with plant leadership, supply chain, and procurementTranslate financial data into operational insightsDrive continuous improvement initiatives and cost control measuresHelp build scalable processes to support future growthFor immediate consideration call Jimmy Tunney at View phone number on click.appcast.io.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally in manufacturingStrong experience with Standard costing, Absorption, Purchase Price Variance (PPV) analysis preferredInventory and manufacturing variance analysisBlend of plant accounting and FP& A experienceProven ability to own a P& L and partner with operational leadershipJob typePerm
