About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Experience: Minimum of 24 months of current Operating Room experience required License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: BLS certification from an approved provider required Must-Have: - 24 months of current Operating Room experience - Circulating and Operating Room experience required - Experience with Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma required - EPIC electronic medical systems experience within the last 3 years required - Trauma Level II experience required - Completed a travel assignment within the last 15 months required Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Operating Room. The nurse will be responsible for a caseload averaging 35-50 cases per day. Expectations for turnovers are less than 20 minutes. Specialized equipment includes three Da Vinci robots and Stealth technology for neuro navigation. The nurse will provide care in various service lines including Cardiac, Neuro, and General Surgery. Floater requirements include potential work across multiple campuses. Weekend call requirements include being on call from the end of the shift on Friday until Monday morning. Scrub or circulate experience is preferred. The nurse will be required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed. The position will involve patient care in a Level 1 trauma center environment. Additional preferred experiences include orthopedics, gynecology, urology, transplants, and vascular cases.
