Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Lead oversees the daily operations of the shipping and receiving department, ensuring the accurate, timely, and efficient movement of materials and finished goods. This role leads warehouse personnel, maintains inventory accuracy, coordinates with carriers and internal departments, and promotes a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
• Supervise, train, and support warehouse employees to meet productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Receive, inspect, verify, and accurately record incoming shipments.
• Prepare, package, label, and ship outgoing orders according to customer and company requirements.
• Create and verify shipping labels and documentation to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through system updates, cycle counts, and proper documentation.
• Schedule shipments and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, inventory issues, and carrier concerns.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, and other departments to improve workflow and efficiency.
• Prepare routine reports related to inventory, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
• Assist with order picking, packing, and other warehouse duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics leadership experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment
