Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, and central line management.

Required Credentials: ASN / BSN

Unit Details: Patient population includes stroke, respiratory illnesses (flu/pneumonia/COVID), renal failure, peritoneal dialysis, and wounds. RN ratios 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8. LPN ratios 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8. CNA ratios 1:10. CNA support for ADLs, mobility, and feeding; no HUC. Charge nurse may or may not have a patient assignment. Phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, RT, hospitalist, and intensivist available 24/7; telemetry monitoring/tech available. Unit-specific equipment includes VNO (virtual nursing - 10 cameras); virtual RNs can act as 2nd RN witness for certain meds, closely monitor patients requiring special monitoring, and assist with admission/discharge items. Free Parking.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Schedule cycle every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements: Float within Region 3 as needed, including Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH), within scope of practice.

Special Requests: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
