Direct Support Professional (Entry-Level) Location: Bulverde, TX (Office: 1605 East Borgfeld Drive, San Antonio, TX 78260) Job ID: 30780 Openings: 14 Job Description Make a Difference Every Day: work with children with autism to build communication, social, and independent skills. Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm (predictable daytime hours; no nights). Optional Saturdays may be available based on patient needs. Position type: Full‑time. Start date: Immediate openings available. Training: No experience required; we provide paid training and fully cover your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Experience that’s a plus (not required): childcare experience (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor), mental health roles (QMHP, behavioral health technician), camp counselors, paraprofessionals, caregivers, life‑skill assistants, or a degree in psychology, child development, education, or health sciences. Pay High School / Associate’s Degree: $15–$22.50 per hour Bachelor’s Degree: $15–$24 per hour Master’s Degree: $16–$26 per hour Fun fact: You’ll receive your first raise after earning your RBT certification. What You’ll Be Doing Follow personalized treatment plans and collect simple session data. Help children learn through play, movement, reading, games, and hands‑on activities. Stay active and engaged throughout therapy sessions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment. Collaborate with a supportive team focused on helping kids grow and succeed. Watch a Behavior Technician at work: Job Requirements At least 18 years old. High school diploma. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Comfortable sitting, standing, crouching, and getting on/off the floor frequently. Able to maintain an active pace while working with young children. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Willingness to complete paid RBT certification within 20 days of hire. Team mindset: may occasionally help support a nearby ABC clinic if additional coverage is needed.
