Location: Fort Myers, Florida
Position Type: PRN
Pay Rate: $37 per hour

Ambassador Healthcare at College Park is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. The PTA will work closely with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to provide safe, effective, and individualized therapy services designed to help residents achieve their highest level of functional independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with delivering safe and effective treatment sessions based on each resident's individual needs and care plan.

• Provide compassionate, professional support to residents throughout therapy sessions.

• Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and professional standards, including maintaining appropriate professional attire.

• Maintain a positive, respectful, and collaborative attitude when working with residents, families, and members of the healthcare team.

• Follow all safety, infection control, and facility protocols to promote a safe environment for residents and staff.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked therapy area.

• Ensure therapy equipment is clean, available, and in proper working condition.

• Report damaged equipment, hazardous conditions, or other safety concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor.

• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing duties involving potential exposure to bodily fluids.

• Report missing, damaged, or unclear labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) to the appropriate supervisor immediately.

• Maintain compliance with all applicable facility, state, and professional requirements.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Florida license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a skilled nursing facility, nursing home, rehabilitation center, or similar healthcare setting.

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Commitment to providing quality, compassionate care to residents.
