Job Description

Program, maintain, and operate robotic welding systems for bridge steel fabrication in compliance with the corporate mission and values, and department financial objectives.

Essential Functions

● Program and operate robotic welding systems for various steel bridge components.

● Utilize CAD/CAM software to design and implement efficient welding paths.

● Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on robotic systems.

● Train other team members on robotic system operations and safety.

● Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.

● Collaborate with design and production teams to improve product quality and process efficiency.

● Keep detailed records of robot performance and maintenance.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.

● Minimum 3 years of experience with robotic systems, specifically in robotic welding.

● Proven experience with CAD/CAM software.

● Familiarity with programming languages used in robotic systems.

● Solid understanding of welding principles and practices.

● Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

 

Desired Skills

● Professional certification in robotic programming.

● Experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in bridge steel

fabrication.

● Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other industry-specific quality standards.

● Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Routine exposure to steel fabrication environment and occasional outside weather conditions, excessive noise levels and is regularly exposed to vibration. Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes, vapors, or airborne particles. Occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
