RSM is seeking a Managing Director, Data, Analytics & AI to accelerate growth in our Data & Digital Services (DDS) business. This leader will shape our market narrative and lead executive advisory, assessments, and large-scale transformation programs—building durable, high-impact, client relationships that scale. The ideal candidate brings executive credibility across enterprise data strategy, cloud data architecture, analytics, AI, and governance, with a proven record of building pipeline, shaping go-to-market offerings, and converting strategy into multi-phase delivery. This is a client-facing, revenue-generating role with accountability for growth, offering development, thought leadership, and cross-firm collaboration.

The Managing Director role is designed for leaders with a distinct strategic focus or specialization needed to serve strategic clients and execute firm strategy. Managing Director focuses on client trust, deal shaping, and market credibility, not delivery oversight alone. Responsibilities

Growth, Go-to-Market & Executive Sales Leadership

• Own and shape go‑to‑market offerings growth objectives for the Data, Analytics & AI portfolio within DDS; build and manage a strategic pipeline aligned to RSM priorities.
• Lead executive-level pre-sales: discovery workshops, value framing, solution architecture presentations, and RFP/RFI responses.
• Partner with account, sales, and industry leaders to identify, qualify, and progress opportunities; author Statements of Work (SOWs), proposals, and scope documents.
• Develop differentiated points of view that translate Data & AI capabilities into measurable business value and outcomes; represent RSM in the marketplace through thought leadership.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, partnering with Sales and account teams to progress opportunities from initial conversations through close.
• Convert strategy and assessment engagements into larger, multi‑phase delivery programs across cloud data platforms, analytics, AI, and governance.

Act as an executive sponsor for strategic pursuits, RFPs, and accounts; lead solutioning, executive presentations, and deal shaping.

Key Responsibilities

Own the AI Engineering GTM Strategy

• Define and maintain the AI Engineering portfolio, including offerings, accelerators, and service packages.
• Establish clear positioning, buyer messaging, and value propositions.
• Identify market trends and emerging AI engineering capabilities that should be incorporated into the firm's roadmap.

Drive Revenue Growth

• Develop AI Engineering go-to-market plans and pipeline generation strategies.
• Partner with client-facing teams on strategic pursuits and executive-level opportunities.
• Support pricing, packaging, and commercialization strategies for AI Engineering services.

Create Market-Ready Offerings

• Ensure offerings are repeatable, scalable, and delivery-ready.
• Define standard methodologies, reference architectures, and reusable assets.
• Collaborate with service lines and solution owners to prioritize IP, accelerators, and innovation investments.

Serve as the Firm's AI Engineering Ambassador

• Act as a recognized internal and external thought leader on AI engineering.
• Represent the firm in industry conversations, analyst discussions, conferences, and client forums.
• Enable sellers and practitioners to confidently articulate RSM's AI Engineering capabilities.

Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with broader AI GTM leaders, industry leaders, and platform teams to create integrated solutions.
• Drive consistency across offerings and eliminate overlap or competing AI narratives.
• Ensure AI Engineering is effectively embedded into broader AI transformation opportunities.

Candidate Profile

• Deep expertise in AI engineering, machine learning platforms, generative AI, agentic systems, MLOps, and enterprise AI architecture.
• Proven experience building and scaling AI solutions in consulting, technology, or enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated ability to translate emerging technologies into client-ready offerings and commercial outcomes.
• Strong executive presence with experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on growth, innovation, and market differentiation.

• Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our managed services offering.
• Collaborate with RSM’s global offices on client projects and international managed service expansion and delivery
• Understand service lines across RSM and work within our cross functional teams in supplying integrated delivery of managed services in IT, Finance as a Service, data analytics, security services and business applications
• Lead multiple client managed service consulting engagements
• Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the years

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree in finance, accounting, information technology or in another related field in which we deliver managed services
• 8+ years of experience in leading managed services infrastructure build, transformation, delivery, and expansion
• Experience driving people, process, and technology improvement across multiple groups aligned with strategy
• Proven record of delivering high-quality managed services to clients
• Collaborate and work in team settings across a large firm with multiple service lines
• Experience in leading projects related to finance transformation or financial systems selection/implementation

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated Leadership experience, preferably in one or more of the following areas: a corporate finance such as controller or CFO, SEC and/or private company financial reporting, FP&A, policy development and financial reporting advisory, transaction related accounting and financial reporting
• Global operational and accounting experience
• Demonstrated experience with infrastructure/managed IT services and other implementation methodology and program management techniques.

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $181,900 - $397,700

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
