Remote - Physician Enforcement Case Review - Part Time

Job Title: Physician - Enforcement Case Review No. of Positions / Candidates Required: 1 (Part Time) Specialty: Occupational and Environmental Medicine / Preventive Medicine Place of Work (City/State): Remote / Telework - (DOL network via GFE and VPN) Duration: 1 year + Option Period of 1 year (total 2 years) Start Date: 08/01/2026 Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM; assignments issued on an ad hoc basis as directed by OOMN How Many Shifts Needed Per Month: Ad hoc; approximately 12 hours/month - 144 hours annually License: Active, unrestricted MD or DO license in good standing - no restrictions, suspensions, or disciplinary actions Certifications: Board Certification in Occupational and Environmental Medicine OR a Preventive Medicine specialty and medical surveillance experience - required Experience Needed: Minimum 3-5 years post-board certification; experience drafting enforcement case reports or supporting OSHA regulatory/legal proceedings strongly preferred Special Skills Needed: Experience drafting enforcement case reports and supporting regulatory or legal proceedings preferred. Strong technical writing skills for preparing enforcement support reports and medical opinions. Credentialing / Onboarding Time: 6 weeks from award Responsibilities:
- Review OSHA fatality, severe injury/illness, and mass casualty investigation case records as assigned by OOMN and draft enforcement support reports for Area Office consultation requests
- Provide technical medical expertise to support OSHA enforcement actions and Office of the Solicitor proceedings before the OSHA Review Commission
- Submit all work products into DOL internal systems using GFE and participate in OOMN enforcement case meetings as required
