As an Access Control Officer in a retail location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, and responding to alarms or screening needs. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and support security-related operations with integrity. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.86 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor access points and control entry and exit for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with location policies. Verify visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established security-related protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, retail areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Have access control or badge experience, preferred. Have X-ray screening experience, preferred. Have alarm panel experience, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
