Verify applications for badges are complete and correct in accordance with the individual's status, and determines the validity of identification provided.

Issue badges to installation and tenant activity employees, authorized contractor employees, military personnel, and all visitors.

Greet, log, assist and direct applicants through the individual Common Access Card process.

Enroll eligible dependents of active duty military personnel into the DEERS military health care system.

Validate benefit eligibility of dependents through review of necessary legal documentation (marriage, divorce, birth and death certificates, adoption papers, court orders establishing dependency, etc).

Enter, update, terminate, retrieve and transmit DEERS transactions using prescribed rules and special instructions for entering, transmitting, receiving and correcting data.

Communicate directly with DEERS Support Office and the RAPIDS Assistance Center as well as the Department of the Army proponent to resolve problems.

Process all local and national background checks for the installation as dictated by Homeland Security Presidential Directive.

Complete checks via the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and the Army Law Enforcement Reporting and Tracking System (ALERTS).
