Description Provides care/services under the California State Law defining the Nurse Practice Act. Professional Duties Patient Assessment/Evaluation. Patient Planning/Implementation. Medication Administration. ECG- performs electrocardiograms as ordered by the provider and according to approved policy and procedure. Dressing/Sutures/Orthopedics Appliances. Patient and/or Provider Assistance. Non-Invasive Procedure. Invasive Procedures. Testing. Documentation and Information. Quality Control Activities. Responds to all codes. Responsible for lab draws, specimen processing using CBC machine and Piccolo, and relaying results to MD as required. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledgeable in scope of practice. Able to communicate effectively with patients and physicians. Able to work independently and assist in directing others to achieve care goals. BLS and ACLS required. Proficient with I.V.
