Season: March – September Location: Scott Valley Swimming & Tennis Club (Mill Valley, CA) Scott Valley Swimming & Tennis Club is seeking an experienced and dependable Head Lifeguard to oversee daily lifeguard operations for the 2026 pool season. This leadership role works closely with the Aquatics Director to ensure safe, well‑staffed, and well‑trained aquatic operations throughout the spring and summer months. Schedule (Seasonal position): March through the end of September. Weekend availability required. Weekday hours vary based on pool operations, programming, and events. Compensation: $22–$26 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities Serve as the on‑site lead for lifeguard staff during assigned shifts. Work directly with the Aquatics Director on lifeguard scheduling and coverage. Staff communication and accountability. Lead and assist with twice‑monthly in‑service trainings. Ensure lifeguards maintain certification standards and rescue readiness. Enforce pool safety rules and respond to emergencies as needed. Support special events, swim meets, and club programming. Model professionalism, leadership, and strong safety standards on deck. Qualifications Current lifeguard certification (Red Cross). Minimum of 2 years lifeguarding experience. Prior leadership or head guard experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. Reliable weekend availability throughout the season. Why Work with Us?
