Verdantas is seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor to support our growing survey team in New England, including NH, ME, VT, MA, CT, RI and extending to other regions. As the Professional Land Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of land development and infrastructure projects by leading both office-based and field survey operations. From planning and managing diverse survey types, such as boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and drone mapping, to mentoring junior staff and ensuring regulatory compliance, you will bring technical expertise and strategic oversight to every phase of a project. In the field, you will ensure data accuracy through hands‑on use of advanced instruments and resolve challenges swiftly to keep progress on track. Your work not only supports precise data collection but also fosters collaboration, safety, and innovation across teams and client engagements. What You’ll Do: Performing conventional and GPS computations and analysis Land records research Field crew supervision Ability to take field measurements and stakeout of survey projects in Verdnatas’ areas of operation Make boundary decisions based on Colonial Land reconstruction theories Prepare and seal final surveys for boundary, subdivision, site plan etc. Prepare engineering basemaps for civil and structural design projects Communicate with architects, engineers, geologists, etc., in a collaborative effort Coordinate with the Principal Surveyor for evaluation of staffing, equipment, project, and marketing efforts What You Bring: Associate's Degree; higher education preferred 7 + years of professional experience in the practice of land surveying in northern New England or a similar setting Professional Surveying License or ability to obtain it within 6 monthsPlease Ability to manage projects and handle client relations Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to complete field work, including carrying equipment, cutting traverse lines, and walking on undeveloped sites Ability to occasionally work outdoors in various weather conditions Experience with AutoCAD design software, including Civil3D a plus Strong technical skills Salary Range: The starting salary for this position is $80,000, with final compensation determined based on years of experience, qualifications, and licensing status Benefits: Flexible Work Environment Paid Parental Leave Medical Dental Vision Life and AD&D Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off + Holidays Verdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
