Overview

Join our dynamic team in Butler, WI, as a Lead Diesel Mechanic! We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to lead our maintenance operations and ensure our fleet runs smoothly. If you have a passion for diesel engines and enjoy mentoring others, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining our vehicles, troubleshooting issues, and leading a team of mechanics in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of diesel mechanics in daily operations.
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines and related systems.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Train and mentor junior mechanics, providing guidance and support.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Coordinate with management to prioritize repairs and maintenance schedules.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.
Assist in inventory management and ordering of parts and supplies.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in diesel mechanics preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel mechanics, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.- Ability to obtain CDL
