Gentle Guidance Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity, serving clients through our community health clinic based in Topeka, Kansas. Work Environment

Our remote work setting allows for flexibility while maintaining a strong connection to our clients and staff. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will engage in virtual consultations, therapy sessions, and multidisciplinary team meetings. Although you will primarily work from home, you may occasionally be invited to participate in in-person team activities or training sessions at our Topeka clinic. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental health needs and formulate individualized treatment plans.
  • Facilitate various therapeutic modalities including individual counseling, family therapy, and group sessions, tailored to specific client dynamics.
  • Monitor and document client progress towards therapeutic goals using our electronic health record system, ensuring that notes are timely and thorough.
  • Coordinate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement integrated care strategies for clients.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies.
  • Stay informed of the latest developments in mental health practices and policies to enhance service delivery and improve outcomes for clients.
  • Engage in regular supervision and peer consultation to evaluate treatment approaches and professional effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve come from various backgrounds and face an array of challenges, including those dealing with mental health disorders, substance abuse, trauma, and life transitions such as divorce or loss. Your role will be critical in fostering a safe environment where clients feel empowered to share their experiences and work towards meaningful change.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid state license as a clinical social worker (LCSW) in Kansas.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, vital for effective counseling and collaboration with clients and team members.
  • Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and client management.
  • Ability to manage sensitive client information with the utmost confidentiality.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in a community health setting or outpatient clinic.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing services to diverse populations, including individuals with co-occurring disorders.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and online counseling platforms.
  • Clear understanding of local resources and referral systems pertinent to mental health services in Topeka, Kansas.

Compensation and Benefits
