Abstract medical records accurately to collect performance data relating to required elements of performance, core measures, infection control, patient safety, and demographic and social equity of care. Develop and implement strategies aimed at improving performance. Complete reviews within appropriate time frames. Participate in nursing research activities as requested. Collect concurrent and retrospective data in support of various accreditation and regulatory required studies/initiatives. Work independently on assigned projects utilizing high levels of initiative, judgement, and critical thinking skills. Identify and communicate staff educational needs to appropriate leaders or departments. Perform other job duties as needed.
