The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding industrial production equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant operations. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with pumps, bearings, conveyors, rotating equipment, and general industrial machinery. The ideal candidate is a "turn-a-wrench" mechanic who enjoys diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs, and returning machinery to service quickly and safely. Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding industrial production equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant operations. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with pumps, bearings, conveyors, rotating equipment, and general industrial machinery. The ideal candidate is a "turn-a-wrench" mechanic who enjoys diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs, and returning machinery to service quickly and safely. Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and identify root causes of equipment downtime.
- Repair, rebuild, and install pumps, bearings, conveyors, motors, and related equipment.
- Perform shaft and coupling alignments.
- Replace bearings, seals, belts, chains, sprockets, and other wear components.
- Assist with equipment commissioning and returning machinery to service following repairs.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and maintenance procedures.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance, millwright, mechanic, or heavy equipment repair experience.
- Experience working with pumps, bearings, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
- Proven mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience performing equipment alignments.
- Ability to disassemble, repair, and reassemble industrial machinery.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Millwright experience.
- Experience rebuilding pumps, gearboxes, engines, or other rotating equipment.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Industrial manufacturing, mining, aggregates, carbon, or processing plant experience.
- Military mechanical maintenance background.
- Industrial manufacturing facility with exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold, and outdoor conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting.
- Overtime may be required based on production and maintenance demands.
