Position Summary Shining Stars Montessori Academy Public Charter School is seeking a caring and dedicated Part-Time Third-Year Kindergarten Guide to support students during their critical kindergarten year within a Montessori Children's House primary environment. The Guide will provide targeted academic support, enrichment, and small-group instruction to third-year kindergarten students while supporting independence, school readiness, literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth. Essential Responsibilities Instruction & Student Support Provide engaging small-group and individualized instruction for third-year primary kindergarten students. Support literacy, math, executive functioning, and social-emotional development and preparation for first grade and 'stepping up' to first grade.. Reinforce Montessori lessons and classroom expectations in collaboration with the Lead Guide. and the Montessori Academic Dean Foster independence, concentration, confidence, and positive peer interactions. Maintain accurate student progress documentation and communication records. Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities Collaborate with classroom staff, specialists, and school leadership to support student learning goals. Participate in required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development as scheduled. Maintain professional communication with families and colleagues. Uphold all school policies and expectations related to safety, confidentiality, and professionalism. Family Engagement Support positive relationships with families through ongoing communication and student updates. Assist with conferences, progress monitoring, and family engagement activities as needed.
