Position Overview We’re hiring an exceptional General Manager to run day-to-day operations for one of our Austin-area locations. This is a leadership role for someone who is relentlessly guest-focused, detail-oriented, and who leads by example. You’ll own guest experience, team development, financial performance, and operational excellence, all with a hospitality mindset. What you’ll own Deliver an exceptional and consistent guest experience, through service standards, team coaching, and relentless attention to detail. Lead, hire, train, and develop a high-performing FOH team; create an environment where hospitality and craft thrive. Manage daily operations: service flow, reservations/seatings, opening/closing, vendor and inventory coordination, and operational checklists. Drive financial performance: staffing/labor management, inventory/food cost controls, cash handling, and daily/weekly P&L ownership. Set and sustain standards for cleanliness, safety, and compliance (including licensing, health code, and insurance requirements). Collaborate with the kitchen leadership to align guest expectations, menu execution, and service timing. Recruit and mentor rising talent; establish career pathways and succession plans for the location. Act as the public face of the restaurant; maintain strong community and guest relationships. What success looks like Guests consistently leave delighted, repeat visits and strong feedback are the norm. The dining room runs like a well-rehearsed performance: timing, hospitality cues, and attention to detail are impeccable. Labor and food costs are managed without compromising service standards. Team morale is high; managers and servers are developing and being promoted from within. Operational processes are documented, taught, and followed. Who we’re looking for 1+ years of experience managing dining operations (General Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, or similar); sushi, or premium service experience is a plus. Demonstrated expertise in hospitality-driven leadership and coaching; you mentor, measure, and improve. Exceptional attention to detail, you notice the little things and train others to notice them too. Strong financial literacy: comfortable owning P&L metrics, forecasting, payroll management, and inventory controls. Excellent communicator and problem solver, calm under pressure and decisive when needed. A hands‑on leader who is comfortable on the floor during service. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant service. Positive attitude, growth mindset, and a commitment to continual improvement. Nice to have Familiarity with POS systems and inventory/ordering platforms. Prior track record of promoting team members into leadership roles.
