Exciting Opportunity for Oncology Nurses! Job Description:
- Location: Dallas, TX
- Shift: 07:00-19:00 (Tuesday Starts)
- Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 41
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, Up to 5 RNs, 2 PCTs per floor
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, Up to 5 RNs, 1 PCT per floor
- Patient Ratios: Estimated 4:1, Max 5:1
- Equipment: Baxter Pumps
- EMR: Meditech
- Ideal Candidate Skills:
- Must Have:
- Strong understanding of sterile dressing changes
- Knowledge of infection prevention
- Solid grasp of blood and electrolyte replacement process protocols
- Preferred Skills:
- General Medical Oncology understanding
- Familiarity with ports and central lines
- Typical Procedures:
- Daily blood and electrolyte replacement
- Sterile dressing changes
- Personality Fit:
- Team-centered approach
- Certifications Required:
- BLS and ACLS
- Floating Areas:
- As needed
- Dress Code:
- Scrub Color/Attire: Royal Blue (monogrammed with hospital name, approved jackets)
