Senior Accountant - Hybrid Role with Growth & Client Leadership

Senior Accountant Are you an experienced accountant looking for a role with variety, responsibility and clear progression? Do you want to join a supportive and reputable accountancy practice where you can manage your own clients and play an important part in a growing team? This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join a well-established firm in Bradford. You’ll take ownership of a diverse portfolio, deliver high-quality accounts and tax work and help support junior colleagues as the practice continues to develop. The Role As Senior Accountant, you’ll be responsible for delivering a broad range of accounting services while acting as a trusted adviser to your clients. Key responsibilities include: Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders Preparing corporation tax returns and supporting personal tax work where required Completing and reviewing management accounts, VAT returns and bookkeeping tasks Managing your own portfolio of clients and building strong professional relationships Reviewing the work of juniors and assisting with their training and development Identifying opportunities to improve processes or add value to clients Supporting managers and partners with ad hoc projects and advisory assignments Ensuring work is completed accurately and to agreed deadlines This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety and the chance to grow your technical and client-facing skills. About You You’ll be a confident and well-rounded accounting professional with strong practice experience. You will: Be ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience Have experience working in a UK accountancy practice Be confident preparing and reviewing both year-end and management accounts Possess strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and tax principles Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills Be well-organised, proactive and able to manage multiple jobs at once Enjoy working closely with clients and supporting junior members of the team Be proficient with cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks You’ll be the type of person who takes pride in accuracy, client service and being part of a collaborative team.
