Aviation Avionics TechnicianThe Aviation Avionics Technician will be a key member of our Maintenance and Engineering team, supporting the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft avionics systems. This role works closely with A&P mechanics, quality personnel, engineers, and flight operations to ensure aircraft systems are safe, compliant, and mission ready.You will join a collaborative, safety-driven team that values technical excellence, attention to detail, and continuous improvement. Our environment supports hands-on problem solving, open communication, and adherence to the highest aviation standards.Who We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a technician who will be responsible for the full lifecycle of avionics maintenance activities, including:Read and interpret wiring diagrams and installation drawings to facilitate relevant system inspections, troubleshooting and installations, to include wire harness fabricationPerforming system checks on communication, navigation, flight control, and monitoring systemsDocumenting maintenance actions accurately in accordance with FAA regulations and company proceduresSupporting scheduled inspections, unscheduled maintenance, and Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) events as requiredCoordinating with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to resolve system issuesEnsuring all work complies with regulatory, safety, and quality standardsWhat You Will Be DoingThe ideal candidate brings hands-on avionics experience and a strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems. You are detail-oriented, methodical, and comfortable working in a regulated environment where precision matters.You demonstrate:Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsThe ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manualsComfort working independently as well as in team-based maintenance settingsA proactive mindset focused on safety, compliance, and continuous improvementClear communication skills, both written and verbalThe flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational demandsYou Must HaveJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent3-5 Years experience as an Aviation Avionics Technician or similar roleA&P Certificate is preferredUnderstanding of how test equipment worksMust be able to use aviation tooling (i.e., crimpers, multimeter, soldering, etc.)Working knowledge of aircraft avionics, electrical systems, and test equipmentFamiliarity with FAA regulations, maintenance documentation, and industry standardsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and manufacturer manualsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilitiesWillingness to work varied shifts, overtime, or AOG support as requiredAbility to pass required background checks and maintain compliance with safety policiesAery Aviation job descriptions are meant as summarizations only.
