Senior Full Stack Engineer

Our client is expanding its engineering team to support growth across its digital finance ecosystem, with a focus on cloud infrastructure, transaction processing, and scalable software platforms.

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the development and modernization of critical applications and services. This role combines advanced Python engineering with cloud infrastructure, database architecture, external integrations, and frontend development. You will shape technical strategy, solve complex engineering challenges, and deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions in collaboration with product, engineering, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend applications, REST APIs, and distributed services supporting payment processing and financial workflows.
• Establish Python engineering standards for application architecture, testing, code reviews, and maintainable software design. Django experience is a plus.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable, secure system designs.
• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure, including deployments, monitoring, security, reliability, and cloud costs.
• Lead complex engineering initiatives from architecture and development through testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Build and maintain integrations with payment processors, banking platforms, and third-party financial services.
• Design and optimize database schemas, data models, and queries to ensure transactional integrity and performance at scale.
• Contribute to frontend development using React and TypeScript to support end-to-end feature delivery.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience delivering and maintaining complex production applications.
• Advanced Python expertise, including backend platforms, REST APIs, and scalable services; Django experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and AWS in production environments.
• Familiarity with React and TypeScript and the ability to contribute across the full stack.
• Experience guiding architecture, optimizing infrastructure, improving performance, and supporting highly available systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and business teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation

Base Salary: $290,000–$330,000
