Whether you are just starting your career or taking the next step in healthcare, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of care in our communities.Learn more at .A Patient Service Representative needs to have strong organizational skills along with the ability to think on their feet when faced with new situations that arise throughout each day within a professional medical environment.Roles and Responsibilities:Patient intake, such as greeting and check-in patients/verifying/updating patient demographicsAssist patients with filling out consent formsReceive and process cash and credit card payments for medical services renderedInitiate calls, pages, and triage phone calls.Assists in admissions, discharges, transfers and fulfills other customer service or clerical dutiesRequired Skills and Experience:High school diploma or equivalentProfessional manner and appearanceStrong interpersonal and communication skillsMeticulous attention to detailAbility to work independentlyPreferred Skills and Experience:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook)Knowledge of medical terms and practices preferredPhysical Requirements:80% standing 20% sittingLocation and Travel Requirements:Location: Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center- 101 Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850Shift: Schedule Details (Must be flexible to all shift times below in order to be considered)Flex Hours: Shifts may range between 7 AM and 11 PM. Typical Shifts:o 6:45 AM - 3 PMo 6:45 AM - 7 PMo 10:45 AM - 7 PMo 10:45 AM - 11 PMo 2:45 PM - 11 PMYou MUST be flexible to the holes that are left AFTER our FT and PT staff pick their preferred shifts. You are not guaranteed shifts!Shift Structure:8-hour shifts OR 12-hour shifts - Must have at minimum 6 shifts in an 8 week scheduling period.
