Inpatient Pharmacy Technician

Role Overview The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, preparing compounded drugs, and managing inventory, including controlled substances. Key Responsibilities Assist with all pharmacy services under supervision, ensuring compliance with regulations. Prepare medication orders, perform calculations, and compound medications accurately. Manage medication supplies, verify inventories, and ensure proper packaging and labeling. Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and caregivers. Participate in departmental meetings, process improvements, and safety protocols. Support financial and regulatory aspects of pharmacy operations. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent; current pharmacy technician certification/license. Knowledge of pharmacy regulations, IV compounding, and inventory management. Proficiency in pharmacy technology, computer skills, and strong organizational abilities. Effective communication, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. Additional Details Experience in inpatient pharmacy preferred; new graduates are welcome.
