Retail Team Leader (Key Holder) Pay: $18-19/hour (based on experience) Location: 8805 Rockville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46234 Work/Life Balance: We offer a great retail schedule. Store Hours: Monday to Saturday 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Sunday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Benefits Healthcare benefits available on the first day Immediate retirement savings – 401(k) retirement plan with company match, no waiting period required Company profit‑sharing after 90 days of employment Holidays off – closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Easter Advancement: leaders often began as Sales Associates Responsibilities Opening and closing the store Assisting with daily store operations and tasks for the day Unloading merchandise from delivery trucks, organizing it, and transferring it from the stockroom to the store Maintaining merchandise – product rotation, proper food handling, receiving, and ensuring product quality Providing exceptional customer service – building relationships, problem‑solving, and generating sales Cash handling – bank deposits, providing change for cashiers, setting and counting down registers Helping to build and train the team; developing leadership skills while supervising sales associates in the performance of their assigned duties Qualifications 1–2 years of retail experience with increasingly responsible roles Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with frequent lifting above shoulder height Ability to work a flexible, full‑time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to safely operate power equipment such as slicing equipment, walkie lifts, and forklifts where applicable Flexibility to occasionally respond to alarm calls during non‑working hours and work shifts at other stores in the local area Minimum age 18 years (required) High school diploma or equivalent Success in pre‑employment checks, including drug screen and criminal background check Basic computer skills Equal Employment Opportunity Equal Employment Opportunity is a matter of policy at Gordon Food Service, Inc. and we are committed to a work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
