Assembly Mechanic

Job DescriptionAssemble and test machinery such as conveyors, rotating assemblies, etc. according to specifications and shop orders.Check quality of parts to ensure accuracy of dimensions and quantity.Must have own hand tools and be able to use required measuring toolsFollow job operations as outlined on the work orderMust be willing to work in a non-climate controlled environmentReport dimensional discrepancies to Supervisor as they occurMust be willing to cross-train into other areas as required to meet production schedules and/or manufacturing needsCapable of driving a forklift and operating an overhead craneMust be able to work extra hours daily and on weekends as requiredMust follow all safety and environmental policies and programs; must be able to use personal safety devices as required by company policy; report any activities that could be detrimental to safety and/or the loss of productivity; report any injuries when they occurAll employees are required to assist in plant housekeepingMust be able to work around the chemicals in the assigned departmentInterface with manufacturing personnelMust be willing to work in an on-the-job training status for the first few weeks of employmentAssist in the training of new personnelAll other duties as assignedResponsibilitiesFollow all safety requirements, complete all HUB training as assigned.QualificationsMust have experience using overhead cranes and forklifts.
