We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our entertainment client in Burbank, California and contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic, multi-entity organization. This position is well suited for someone who is precise, dependable, and able to keep pace with a high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy. The role offers the opportunity to work across core accounting functions, partner with internal stakeholders, and help maintain strong financial records and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting activity for assigned entities, including processing payables, receivables, billing, and outgoing payments.

• Examine vendor bills for accuracy, apply the appropriate accounting treatment, confirm approvals, and support regular payment runs.

• Generate customer invoices, track open balances, and follow up on overdue accounts to encourage timely collection.

• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations while ensuring general ledger records remain current and accurate.

• Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly and annual closing activities to support timely financial reporting.

• Analyze account activity, resolve inconsistencies, and maintain schedules that support balance sheet and income statement accuracy.

• Monitor and reconcile transactions between related entities to ensure proper intercompany accounting.

• Provide accounting support for international operations, including coordination of basic funding activity between entities.

• Assist with payroll-related reconciliations, reporting needs, and ad hoc projects requested by finance leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least 2-4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally within a business management firm or in entertainment, touring, live events, or production environments.
• Experience supporting accounting for multiple entities is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel capabilities.
• Understanding of corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return processes is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, consistent follow-through, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
