OVERVIEW

The Manager, Sales Housing & Vendor Operations owns the strategy, budget, and day-to-day operations of Sunrun’s housing program across all sales channels. This role leads the Housing team responsible for sourcing housing for Sales Representatives while ensuring accurate deductions, purchase orders, invoicing, and vendor management.

The Manager partners closely with Sales leadership, Finance, and analysts to manage budgets, forecast housing needs, address exceptions, and improve operational efficiency. This role also leads the modernization of the Housing program through AI, automation, and process improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and empower the Housing team in sourcing, securing, and managing accommodations for Sales Representatives, ensuring high service levels, operational accuracy, and a positive onboarding experience.
• Serve as the primary operational liaison between Sales leadership and the Housing department, establishing clear processes, performance standards, and team accountability.
• Own and manage the end-to-end Housing program budget across all sales channels, driving cost efficiency while accurately forecasting monthly housing demands and proactively mitigating financial risks.
• Oversee the accuracy and execution of payroll housing deductions, purchase orders, vendor invoices, and financial reconciliations in close partnership with Finance.
• Source, negotiate, and manage third-party vendor relationships, ensuring timely payments, contract compliance, and rapid resolution of billing or service disputes.
• Drive program modernization by identifying and implementing AI, workflow automation, and process improvements that reduce manual effort, enhance scalability, and optimize operational performance metrics.

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS)

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience), combined with 6+ years of progressive experience in business operations, vendor management, or corporate logistics.
• 2+ years of direct supervisory or team lead experience with a proven track record of driving accountability, setting performance metrics, and managing team deliverables.
• Strong financial management capabilities with experience building operational budgets, forecasting housing needs, and overseeing accurate invoicing, purchase orders, and payroll deductions.
• Advanced proficiency in Salesforce (SFDC) reporting, Microsoft Excel (data modeling, pivot tables), and Google Workspace to track metrics and present insights to executive leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in process mapping and leveraging AI, automation, or modern software tools to eliminate manual workflows and improve operational scalability.
• Exceptional cross-functional communication and vendor negotiation skills, with the adaptability to partner effectively with Sales Leadership and Finance in a high-velocity environment (Sunrun experience a strong plus).

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL

• Physical Demands: Standard office environment requiring extended computer work and active participation in virtual and in-person meetings.
• Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to corporate offices 3–5 times per year

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:

$83,776.62 to $111,702.16
